This is a basic shield which simplifies your next project with LED Pixels (i.e. WS2801 based strips).
The shield passes the supply voltage right through to the strip while feeding it to the Arduino boards Vin, the SDA and CLK pins are selectable by jumpers from D2, D3, D4, D7, D8, D11 and D13. Power supply for the strip/modules can either be connected through a barrel jack connector or through massive screw terminals. There are two other screw terminals for connecting Vin, GND, SDA and CLK to the pixel modules or strips.
The board also breaks out A0-A2 to three 3-pin headers with 5V, Sig, GND and also has a little prototyping area for your own circuits.
A little LED indicates that the Arduino board on which the shield sits is powered.
Features:
- Arduino compatible
- Designed for StripInvaders
- Up to 10A current to the strip over the PCB
- 3 Electronic brick style headers for A0, A1 and A2 including 5V and GND
- SDA, CLK selectable from D2, D3, D4, D7, D8, D11 and D13
- Works with WS2801, LPDx806 and all other strips/modules controlled with SDA and CLK only
- Small prototyping area
- LED Indicator for power
Note: This kit comes unassembled but is very easy to solder and assemble.

Note: Depending on the height of your Ethernet board or shield you will need another pair of stackable headers so that the RJ45 connector doesn't short power on the LED Pixel Shield. See the related products below for a set of matching stackable headers.
