Thermistors are electronic components that exhibit a large change in resistance with a change in their body temperature. The word 'thermistor' is actually a contraction of the words 'thermal resistor'. The thermistors have large negative temperature coefficient of resistance (NTC devices). Thermistors offer great accuracy for the price compared to other temperature sensors.
