This 32x8 LED Matrix Board is more than just another LED Matrix display, it comes with some smartness on board in the shape of an included ATmega8L preloaded with a nifty clock sketch.
Three onboard buttons allow setting the time and date and setting LED brightness in 15 steps.
The board contains numerous footprints for many additional components which allow you to extend the functionality of the board beyond that of a simple desktop clock:
- RTC DS1302 or RX8025
- USB connector footprint for virtual USB with V-USB
- Speaker and Amplifier connection
- DS18B20 temperature sensor
- ICSP
Note: All above listed components are not included and if you decide to add some of them you will also have to extend the firmware accordingly yourself.
