This is a pin-compatible replacement IC for the popular FT232 from FTDI. The CY7C65213 fully supports USB 2.0 specs and works with serial datarates of up to 3Mbps easily. Because it is completely pin compatible with the FT232 family it can be used as drop-in replacement for the FTDI chip.
